For a few short days, autumn was in the air here... along with residual smoke from the wildfire, but that was last week's story. Though the temps are heating up again, I hope that the cooler days will be back soon because Fall is my favorite time of year. Though I miss the light once the time changes I love the weather and fabulous foods that come along with the season.
Fall is a great time to make use of my favorite small appliances, the slow cooker and Instant Pot (or stove top pressure cooker). A few recent recipes I've posted that your family may enjoy include: Chicken Tamales, Mexican Chicken with Black Beans and Sauerbraten.
Lisa has some amazingly tasty and creative apple recipes and crafts as our features this week so let's jump right in.
Happiness is Homemade
This week's Happiness is Homemade Link Party has all things apples from delicious food to super cute DIY centerpieces. It's also the beginning of #AppleWeek in the blogging world. So, the features this week are a great start to a great week.
Happiness is Homemade Features of the Week (Party #287)
Starting the features out with a scrumptious recipe from Cooking with Carlee. This upside down caramel apple skillet cake is one sweet treat that I need to make right away.
She's Crafty has this easy how-to project that is super cute. Check out her tutorial on how to make a faux vintage can planter.
We can always count on Bird's Party for the cutest projects and this DIY Apple Shaped Zipper Pouch does not disappoint.
Apple Ginger Moscow Mules from Delightful E Made are perfect for adults to sip on while waiting for the Fall temps to arrive or while enjoying the cooler weather, if you're luck to have that!

Thank you for hosting! This is what was served during the week 9-9- to 9-13 in my home. On Tuesday morning was Pumpkin Pancakes with Cinnamon Mousse. Wednesday we served a delicious Pumpkin Spiced French Toast Amaretto Sauce. Wrapping up this first pumpkin week in Michigan we enjoyed a No Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake. Enjoy!
