Happiness is Homemade Red White and Blue Salad and Decor

June 30, 2019 Filed Under: Holidays, Vegetables

The first half of 2019 is over and it was a doozy for me. Happy Canada Day to our Canadian friends and Happy Independence Day to those in the US, and happy July to everyone.

If you need a great salad to take to a barbecue or picnic this summer try this Mixed Green Salad with fresh strawberries and some easy but amazing goat cheese croutons.

Happiness is Homemade Link Party 277

With 4th of July less than a week away, we are all about celebrating the red, white and blue. This week’s link party is my last to hostess for quite awhile. I have thoroughly enjoyed  visiting your amazing creativity. Even though I’m no longer hostess after this week, I will continue to select a few posts to include on my weekly newsletter for my subscribers. I’d love for you to be one of them. Katie of Love My Messy Messy Mess takes over hostessing duties for July.

So, have a wonderful 4th of July, be safe, fly your flag, and enjoy this week’s features.

For this week’s features we are starting off with a couple of great 4th of July ideas and then moving on to 2 awesome home decor and DIY inspirational projects, then finishing up with a yummy looking summer salad. Hope you enjoy!

This pretty patriotic burlap banner from Tiffany from Tee Diddly Dee  is one you could easily make now to start displaying in a day.

My blog hopping friend Jenna from The Painted Apron has created an awesome 4th of July lobsterfest themed tablescape that would be so fun to spend a meal at with friends.

You know I love home decor and DIY projects, and I love it even more when it is custom~created. Stefanie of the Stylish Safari remodeled her powder bath in blue and whites (another reason to love it!). I loved her DIY tutorial on how to design your own wallpaper.

I couldn’t resist the amazing sewing creations from Bev at Flamingo Toes. Her custom bags and totes are so adorable.

You know when a picture of a dish looks delicious and all the ingredients in the dish are your favorites, you know the recipe has to be good. This pretty Mozzarella Strawberry and Olive Salad from ClaireJustine looks so fresh and colorful and I love all the ingredients.

Thank you so much for letting me share my favorite features for May and June. It’s been an honor and a pleasure.

Now let’s get this week’s party off to a great start. Please drop by and say hi to your hostesses.

Thanks for hosting! This week I am bringing goodness from the garden. Carnival Squash with Apples and Thyme kicks off the list. Then Sautéed Zucchini Coins and my husband’s Maple Roasted Sweet Potatoes round out the list. Enjoy!
