Happiness is Homemade Holiday Foods and Gifts

November 18, 2018 Filed Under: Holidays

Oh my am I drooping this week. Last week I chaperoned a local field trip with my son’s 5th grade class on Tuesday and then they went to science camp for three days on Wednesday. But, since he isn’t ready for sleepover camp, we drove him 2 hours back and forth every day. That was the most time my husband and I got to spend alone together this semester, ha ha!

We had another party over on Munofore this week for DIY Christmas Ornaments. I have a tutorial on these easy Wood Slice Ornaments, and be sure to check this post if you want to see all of the ornaments the bloggers made, and maybe add your own tutorial. Finally, I have an easy, healthy and delicious Creamy Tuscan Chicken recipe that is ready in just 30 minutes.

Creamy Tuscan Chicken in cast iron skillet.

Finally, don’t forget to enter the Cash for Christmas Giveaway that ends Thursday night (hello Black Friday and Cyber Monday shopping!)

Welcome back to Happiness is Homemade Link Party #247

Here we are back again  – it’s week #3 of me hosting and I am SO excited to share with you my featured picks!

As I am getting ready for the holiday season, I’ve been contemplating giving my blog a “makeover” if you will.  I have always built my visual theme from scratch but maybe it’s time for a more simple look – take a visit at Love My Messy Messy Mess and let me know what you think!

Anyways back to business – Thanksgiving is next week, are you freaking out yet?!?!?!?  If not – WOW tell me your secret, in other words “I’ll have what she’s having!” cause I need to calm it down! If you are – don’t fret, just check out all of our amazing link ups below and let us help you plan your Thanksgiving holiday!

This Week’s Features!

Besides the stuffing, my FAVORITE Thanksgiving side dish is the cranberry sauce and I have ALWAYS wanted to try making my own.  This Homemade Cranberry Sauce with Apricots and Orange from Delightful E. Made looks perfect!

I love making cutout cookies with my family for Christmas, but check out these BEAUTIFUL Decorated Thanksgiving Sugar Cookies from The Monday Box.

I am all about the smells at my house – over the last few months I’ve had fun mixing different oils in my diffuser.  But check out this  quick and easy recipe How To Make Your Home Smell Like the Holidays from Mrs. Kringle’s Kitchen.

I am a hot chocolate lover but I think these Hot Chocolate Sticks from the Gluesticks Blog could take my sweet drink to the next level!  What a great gift to pair these up with a cute mug, some packets of cocoa tied up in a cute bag!

I’ve still got plenty of apples to use so I will be making this Croatian Easy Eggless Apple Cake from All That’s Jas – looks so yummy!

Now on to the party!
