4teaspoonsinstant espresso or coffee powder(see note)
8ouncesour cream
½cupbutter(cut into pieces)
½teaspoonbrandy or rum extract(optional)
1teaspoonvanilla
1 ½cupschopped nuts(or crushed candy, cocoa powder or candy melts)
Instructions
In medium saucepan, mix chocolate, coffee and ¼ cup of sour cream. Stir over low heat until melted. Remove from heat.
Stir in butter a little at a time. Allow mixture to cool to room temperature. Add most of the remaining sour cream - reserving about ¼ cup.
Cover and refrigerate for 4-8 hours (or overnight) until firm. Add additional sour cream if mixture is to thick to scoop easily. Shape into balls and chill for about 20 -30 minutes.
Roll balls in chopped nuts or other coating. Keep in refrigerator until ready to serve.
Notes
Espresso powder (affiliate link) will result in a stronger coffee taste than instant coffee.
