Ingredients

red skinned sweet potatoes

cup
golden brown sugar
(packed)

butter
(melted)

ground cinnamon

teaspoon
salt

teaspoon
nutmeg
(we always add a little extra)
¼
teaspoon
ground ginger
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F
Peel sweet potatoes, cut in pieces and boil until just fork tender. Drain water and put potatoes in a large casserole dish.
Combine remaining ingredients in a bowl and pour over potatoes. Stir gently.
Bake for 10-20 minutes until everything is melted and warm and gooey.
Notes
To make ahead for a holiday meal:
boil potatoes
mix with brown sugar and spices
cover casserole dish and refrigerate.
heat in the oven while main course is resting.
