Cinnamon Raisin Honey Bread

Cinnamon Raisin Honey Bread is rich quick bread loaded made with honey, raisins and spices. 


  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine
  • 1/2 cup packed brown sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup honey
  • 1/2 cup buttermilk
  • 2 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1 tablespoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup raisins
  • 1/2 cup walnuts chopped


  1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees. Grease a loaf pan.
  2. Cream butter and sugar until blended. Add eggs one at a time and beat until fluffy. Blend in honey and buttermilk.
  3. In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking soda, cinnamon, cloves and salt until combined and fluffy.
  4. Add dry ingredients to the butter mixture. Stir in raisins and nuts. Spoon into loaf pan.
  5. Bake until toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean, about 1 hour. Cool in pan for 10 minutes then turn onto cooling rack to cool completely.
