½poundground beef, turkey or Italian sausage (without casing)
2mediumcarrots(grated)
1cupricotta or cottage cheese
1cupmozzarella cheese(grated)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 350℉. Lightly grease a 9 or 10 inch pie plate, or spray with non stick spray.
In a large bowl, combine beaten eggs, 2 teaspoons olive oil, Parmesan cheese, spaghetti and ½ cup of the pasta sauce.
2 large eggs, 4 teaspoons olive oil, ½ cup Parmesan cheese, 3½ cups cooked spaghetti, 1½ cups pasta sauce, marinara or meat sauce
Place in prepared pie plate and press up against the sides to make the "crust".
In a large skillet heat the remaining oil over medium heat. Add onion and cook until translucent, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook until fragrant, about 30 seconds. Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a wooden spoon. Cook until it is no longer pink.
4 teaspoons olive oil, 1 medium onion, 2 cloves garlic, ½ pound ground beef, turkey or Italian sausage (without casing)
Add grated carrots and remaining pasta sauce and cook for a few more minutes, scraping the bottom of the pan to get all of the goodness mixed in to the sauce.
2 medium carrots, 1½ cups pasta sauce, marinara or meat sauce
Spread the ricotta cheese on top of the spaghetti crust. Pour meat sauce on top. Sprinkle with about half of the mozzarella.
1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella cheese
Cover with foil and bake at 350℉ for 20 minutes. Remove foil, add remaining cheese and bake uncovered until cheese is melted, about 5 minutes.
