Make zesty Hot Wings quickly and easily in your pressure cooker. Perfect appetizer for Game Day, Holiday Parties and every day.

These Pressure Cooker Hot Wings make game day a treat. But you don't have to wait for a tailgate party to enjoy them!

I love a good spicy Buffalo hot wing. And using your pressure cooker makes them quickly and easily.

The key to hot wings is a good pepper sauce. I am lucky to have some of my brother's homemade pepper sauce. But, if you don't feel like making your own I suggest Crystal or Tabasco (not sponsors, just recommended by my former New Orleans chef brother).

And finally I recommend my homemade Blue Cheese Dip to go along with it. It really is so much better than store bought.

    Ingredients

    • 4-4Β½ pounds chicken wings
    • 1 teaspoon garlic powder (divided)
    • Β½ teaspoon onion powder
    • 1 cup water
    • ΒΎ cup hot pepper sauce
    • ΒΌ cup butter (melted)
    • Β½ teaspoon garlic powder
    • sliced celery (for serving)
    • blue cheese dressing (for serving)

    Instructions

    • Sprinkle wings with the garlic powder and onion powder. Place metal trivet inside pressure cooker and add one cup of water. Arrange seasoned wings on top of the trivet before securing the cover in place.
    • Cook on high pressure for 8 minutes.
    • In a medium bowl, combine pepper sauce, butter and garlic powder. Set aside
    • Allow pressure to naturally release on the wings for 10 minutes, then do a quick release for any remaining steam.
    • Place wings to a large bowl. Set aside until just cool enough to handle.
    • Position top oven rack in the top position and pre-heat broiler to high. Line a large, rimmed baking sheet with aluminum foil and place a wire cooling rack on top.
    • Pour Β½ of the sauce over the wings and toss to coat. Transfer the wings to the wire rack on the prepared baking sheet and place under the broiler for 3-4 minutes or until the wings start to get crispy and develop some color. Turn the wings and broil another 3-4 minutes.
    • Remove baking sheet from oven and toss the wings with the remaining buffalo sauce. Serve immediately with sliced celery and blue cheese dressing.

    Notes

I recommend serving these with this easy Homemade Blue Cheese Dip instead of store bought.Β

Great idea using the instant pot..Wings are great for game day but do take a while to cook unless you are frying them so this is a great way to cut down on the time factor.

These wings sound fabulous! I love the idea of cooking them first in the pressure cooker. Such a time saver!
