Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are a scrumptious cookie that will disappear quickly.

Do you love the taste of chocolate and peanut butter? If so, you're in for a treat! Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are soft and gooey and studded with delicious bites of chocolate and peanut butter.

Perfect anytime you want a delicious treat, this recipe is guaranteed to be a hit with everyone!

These Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies are easy to make and quick to disappear.

Chocolate and peanut butter are such a delicious pairing. The first time I made these cookies, I left them on the counter and my kid snuck FOUR!

Luckily, I still had plenty to give to my neighbors to enjoy on their trek cross country. They called an hour after leaving and said they'd each had two already.

    Mrs. Field's Cookie Book

The basic recipe for these Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies comes from Mrs. Fields Cookie Book: 100 Recipes from the Kitchen of Mrs. Fields.

I've learned a few good cookie baking tips from this book that I have used often throughout the years.

    • Instead of sifting, she whisks the dry ingredients together. An especially fun task for young sous-chefs.
    • She bakes the cookies at a lower temperature, so they take longer, but I think the resulting texture is vastly improved.

Unfortunately, there are no recipes for theย cookies served at the stores in the book. Which is fine by me, because I just roll up to West Covina Mall to visit my friend's store when I have a Mrs. Fields craving.

Ingredients for Double Chocolate Peanut Butter Cookies

These cookies use basic baking ingredients:

    • all-purpose flour
    • unsweetened cocoa powder

    • granulated sugar
    • butter
    • eggs
    • baking soda, salt andย vanilla extract
    • peanut butter and chocolate chipsย (dark, semi sweet or milk chocolate)
