Why choose brownies or pie when you can have the best of both worlds. This easy Brownie Pie is a delicious match up of two delicious desserts in one.
This dessert is simple to make up but no one needs to know. Make our Hot Water Pie Crust, or use a store bought crust. Fill it with a quick one bowl brownie recipe.
The result is a decadent fudgy chocolate pie everyone will be raving about.
One day my guys wanted brownies, but I found a pie crust in the freezer earlier and was planning on making a pie. So, I combined them into this brownie pie.
It did not last long. They barely let it cool enough before they cut into it and started devouring.
What can I say, we love our chocolate.
Ingredients for Brownie Pie
There's nothing but simple baking ingredients in this recipe, including the pie crust if you chose to make it from scratch. I use this easy Hot Water pie crust, but feel free to grab store bought if you want.
- unbaked single pie crust
- all purpose flour
- sugar
- unsalted butter
- eggs
- unsweetened chocolate
- semi sweet chocolate chips (or dark)
- vanilla extract
- salt
Can you substitute? Probably. I did not make any when I made it.
If you adapt the recipe for gluten free, or dairy free or sugar free or vegan please let us know in the comments how it came out.
