Ingredients for Chocolate Chip Brown Sugar Pie
You probably already have all of the ingredients for this pie in your house, including making the crust from scratch if desired.
- brown sugar (light or dark)
- butter
- flour
- eggs
- vanilla
- chocolate chips
- single layer pie crust (flour, shortening or butter, salt)
Using dark brown sugar will give the filling more molasses flavor. Most recipes use light brown sugar instead.
I like to use dark chocolate chips for this because the filling is already sweet enough, but if you prefer semi sweet, or that's all you have, then use them instead.
