Curry Cheese Toasts are a quick and easy hors d'oeuvres made with cheddar cheese, mayonnaise, Worcestershire sauce and curry powder.

Do you need an easy last minute hot appetizer? These Curry Cheese Toasts are cheesy, zesty and made with ingredients you probably already have on hand.

They whip up in seconds and can be customized to what's in your pantry and your tastes.

Pin, save, or lock this one in your brain for the next time you need a last minute appetizer. Or you can plan ahead to serve them because they are sure to please.

All you need to do is mix up the spread, shmear it on some bread and broil.

You can prep them ahead of time and just pop them under the broiler a few minutes as guests are arriving. A few minutes later you are ready to mingle with these tasty tidbits.

    Use your favorite bread

My grocery store usually has bags of sliced baguettes on the discount rack that I snag up and pop in the freezer for appetizer emergencies.

But you can use whatever bread you like. Melba toasts are great. Sandwich bread can be cut into triangles, or get fancy and use cookie cutters to cut out hearts, eggs, pumpkins, turkeys, trees, etc. for a festive touch.

I think the spread is particularly tasty on dark rye bread.

Other Ingredients for Curry Cheese Toasts

Besides the bread you will also need:

    • sharp cheddar cheese (or other good melting cheese like Monterey Jack, Provolone, Gouda, Mozzarella)
    • green onions, or chives
    • Worcestershire sauce
    • curry powder (or other seasoning like Cajun, or Italian)
    • mayonnaise

I used to always get it done before... it doesn't look likely this year seeing as I haven't started!
