Here’s a quick and simple vegetable dish that pairs well with many main courses: Lemon Glazed Turnips and Carrots.
I picked the last few turnips to make room for my spring and summer plants. The greens become Smothered Greens. I wanted to do a little something different with them so I turned to The Cook’s Illustrated Cookbook and found this recipe.
The lemon and thyme accent the flavors of the root vegetables nicely and do not over power them at all.
It takes less than 30 minutes to make so it is great for weeknights.
