Bird nests are one of those tell tale signs of spring. Creating edible bird nests is a fun way to celebrate spring, Passover and Easter.
There are almost as many ways to get creative with the nest material as bird's use in real life. Bird's may use leaves, twigs, bark, grass, etc. But for an edible version you can use cake, cookies, brownies, chow mein noodles, cereal or coconut to name a few. Top them with jelly beans, candy eggs or some fresh berries for the eggs and you have a delicious and adorable treat.

Bird Nest Cookies and Brownies:
Bird's Nest Brownies from Pretty Providence. German Chocolate Frosting with it's coconut and pecans form the nest on a brownie base.
Chocolate Birds Nest Cookies from Smart Party Planning. Mmmm! Chocolate cookie and jelly beans!
Coconut Macaroon Nutella Cookie Nests from Simply Stacie. My Nutella lovin' son would appreciate these.
Cookie Butter Nest Brownies from My Money Cottage. Cookie butter, brownies, pretzels and candy eggs = YUM!
No Bake Dark Chocolate Easter Egg Nests (Paleo) from This West Coast Mommy. Healthy but still scrumptious looking.
No Bake Birds Nest Cookies from Love My Messy Mess. Chow mein noodles and melted butterscotch chips make this nest.
Bird Nest Cakes etc.
Easter Surprise Cupcakes from Kids Activities Blog. Cupcakes, stuffed with M&Ms and a cute nest on top.
Easter Egg Nest Cake from Rosie Bakes. This would make a gorgeous but simple centerpiece!
Nest Easter Cupcakes from A Cultivated Nest. A little tinted coconut and candies on top of cupcakes, simple to do and loads of fun.
Bird Nest Donuts from Foodtastic Mom. You could make your own donuts (like she did) or jazz up some store bought ones.
Mini Easter Cheesecakes from Simply Stacie. I love cheesecakes too, Stacie. And this is a fun way to serve them.
Bird's Nest Carrot Cake Cupcake from Hezzi D's Books and Cooks. She had me at carrot cake.
